B-1000EW Walkman

I found some great reviews and videos on the B-1000EW Walkman and decided to give it a try, because something new must be much better than the overpriced vintage "refurbished" (but somehow still needing repairs) rubbish I'd been purchasing from eBay sellers, right?
Additionally, the rather low price seemed worth the risk.

Using standard delivery, it was dispatched quickly from France and arrived in Slovenia within 1 full week.

The player itself is beautifully designed. It's compact, sleek and smooth, with a stylish yet purposefully understated dark grey case, The orange accents are the perfect contrast to the dark grey, and the window itself on the door is large, so you can see your favorite cassettes winding away as they play. The window is also bordered in black—further adding to this walkman's perfect aesthetics.

Aside from the door being a bit thin and bendy, the construction is solid—it's built well.

The record feature (in mono) doesn't seem necessary on a walkman (maybe get rid of this feature, and instead decrease the 0.3% wow & flutter?).

The motor is quiet and smooth.

The sound is surprisingly nice and full - both bass and treble are pronounced during playback, and it sounds really, really nice through my headphones.

Overall, the B-1000EW is a splendid bit of excellence for the price, and I'm very happy with it! There's obviously great quality control at the factory in China, and top-notch product designers with attention to detail at RTM. Thanks for a great product!
